Simplistic but important advice. Sometimes we get so busy and stressed out, that our breathing becomes shallow. Our brains need oxygen to function at its optimum level and a highly functioning mind is a beautiful one. Take time, right this second, to breathe. Really breathe.- Close your eyes, if possible.
- Fill your lungs with air, through the nostrils.
- Pause.
- Exhale through your mouth, slowly.
- Breathe deeply and slowly.
- Envision the filling and emptying of your lungs.
- Listen to your breath.
- Imagine the stresses in your life, exiting your mind and body as you exhale.
- Repeat three to five times.
- Do this exercise as often as you can.
